Exams and Tests and all that Junk
Breathe, stay calm, and Scream...? Exams are annoying. Just one more test to burden our lives. Now I've noticed that all our curriculum for school is built around testing. They prepare you all year for FCAT. In middle school what makes kids nervous is Exams. Exams are really easy (depending on teacher) but they are easy. Exams count for a part of your grade. It's more of a diagnostic test but with a grade. The FCAT and SAT's are to evaluate the school. Really we don't even need FCAT and SAT's. Just more tests to burden our already heavy loads along with homework, studying, and projects. It's hard to spend time with friends with all that going on. Just remember, breathe, stay calm, and scream when it comes to taking tests.
If you have a MEAN Teacher...
DON'T and I mean DON'T...do anything...Yes, just do nothing. .Stand there like a brick wall, and don't do anything. It's one of the main basics but every one forgets. Well here's the story. My home room teacher, as much as I would LOVE to tell you were she live, so you can go egg here house. But sadly i can't. Well, She has the scariest country accent. You can't under stand a word she says. So this annoying kid (normal annoying depends what day it is) asked her that he can go get a tissue, and the teacher says " Just wait!!" well I think that's what she said the accent was blocking it out. So the kid get gets up and get a one. Well, that was a bad idea. Poor kid. She yelled at him and gave him a referral. So, kids the moral of this story is don't do anything if you have a mean teacher. And if you follow this, your annoying scary teacher will think your a prefect angle.

Never not Study
Ok, so I know I should have put this up earlier because of exams.
Never not study. If you don't study enough then the test you will thake will probebly make you fusterated because you don't know the answers. For example, my mom made me study for hours and hours just for my art test. I belive that I got an A on it. Now, I didn't study much for my math test and I think that I got a B on it.
Now Jellie Pie, Don't comment if you have nothing nice to Comment.

Remember
I know it's sometimes hard to remember home work and projects. But hopefully you write your assiments in your planner. Well sometimes its hard to remember to look in your planner so wat I suggest is to write something on your hand. It's not the best for your skin but it's better then getting a ZERO. Or write it somewhere you'll remeber or get a friend to remind you or heres a list,
Write on your hand
Text yourself (if you have a phone)
Have a friend remind you
I hope this helps you and you'll get more A's then 0's.

Band
Hi! I'm Crystalfang of Skyclan. Just Crystalfang will do ;)
So, I go "next door" (HEES people will know what this means) and I like middle school a lot more than I expected to! I thought I would be completly lost, and not see ANY of my friends throughout the day! Not so. The only class I really have a problem with is P.E., and well, everyone I know doesn't like it. Overall, I really love it!
This is sort of about middle school, but mostly about Band. You've probably already guessed by now, but yes, I am in Band. Beginning Band, that is. We had an instrument fitting night in May, and I now play clarinet. At first it was rather difficult to play, but after I got the hang of it, it became fun and exciting. Well, anywho, I have first period Beginning Band. Right now we're working on our concert music for our upcoming concert! YAY!!!
We will be playing Chanukah Lights, Up on the Housetop, and the all-time favorite, Jingle Bells! I have part 2 for both Chanukah Lights and Jingle Bells. It's really easy. Part 1 is really easy, too! Which kind of brings me to the random thing I wanted to share:
I AM AUDITIONING FOR INTERMEDIATE BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just like there are three levels of chorus, there are three levels of Band: Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced. I just started playing my instrument this year in Beginning Band, and now I'm going to move up to Intermediate Band. I'm almost done with the red book, and then I'll start on the blue book. Can't wait!!
Sooo, off the topic of Band. My middle school life is pretty simple, like everyone else's, I guess. I go to first period, then when the bell rings, I go to second, and then to third, and so on and so forth. I guess the only bit of advice I have is...Well, I guess I can't really give it out because it's something I'm still trying to improve about myself. How can I tell people to do something when I can't do it myself? It wouldn't make any sense. It would be like telling people to be good, when all you do is get referalls and lunch detentions all the time. Come back later. Maybe I'll tell you then.

Always Do Your Homework
Homework might not seem like a big part of your grade, but take it from me, it is. It might just be a couple of questions, why get a zero on something that would only take you a minute? When I say homework that means ALL of the work that you do at HOME, that includes projects, papers, workbook pages, everything. Also, don't wait until the last minute because, the chances are that you would have forgotten how to answer a certain problem. So remember, always do your homework!

Never Post-Pone Work
OK so my science teacher gave us a project about maybe 3 weeks ago? I kept putting it off. I have lots of homework and curricular activities I stay up until 10'o'clock at night with homework. Well our computer started to fail and the printer stopped working so that delayed me even more. 1 week left. I can get this done. Night before project is due I'm up until 12:45 at night finnishing my poster. Life lesson learned: Never Post-Pone Work.

My Guide to Survival
One word I use a lot to describe the difference between Middle and Elementary School is...Different.Don't take that the wrong way, it's different, but in a good and fun way.Now I understand that the thought of Middle School can be a little scary, but honestly, it's exciting. It may take a while to get used to your schedule, your classmates, and going from the top in 5th grade to the bottom in 6th, but after a while you get used to it.Think of it like this, in Elementary all you had besides those boring subjects (sorry for those who like science and math, but I don't) you have only Music, PE and Art. But in Middle School you can choose to take those, or one of the other amazing options like Drama, Dance, 2D and 3D art, and so much more! Please leave questions if you have any!!I will be sure to answer them if they are relevant to Middle School!!
